SECURE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION


Safeguarding your Passwords
  • Do not disclose your username/passwords to anyone.
  • Do not store username/passwords where they can be accessed by others.
  • Avoid using easy-to-guess passwords.
  • Change passwords regularly.
  • Password should be a combination of characters (uppercase/lowecase and numbers) and should be at least 6 digits in length.
Keeping Personal Information Private
  • Do not disclose personal information unless the one collecting the information is reliable and trustworthy.
  • Log-off from the internet banking site when the computer is unattended or transaction has been completed.
  • Clear memory cache and surfing history after logging out from the website.
  • Do not send personal information, passwords or pins via ordinary email.
Reviewing Transaction History
  • Keep records of online transactions.
  • Regularly check transaction history details and statements for unauthorized transactions.
  • Review monthly bank statements for any errors and unauthorized transactions.
Checking Website Security
  • Beware of bogus or "look alike" websites. Make sure that the correct website has been acessed.
  • Check the website's URLs - it should begin with HTTPS and a closed padlock icon on the status bar should be displayed.
  • Always enter the URL of the website directly into the web browser. Avoid being re-directed to the website.
Signing on Papers
  • Read the agreement/contract carefully before you sign.
  • Never sign on blank papers.
  • Do not send a photograph of your signature to others.
PROTECT YOUR CARD TRANSACTIONS


Using Automated Teller Machines (ATM)
  • Use ATMs that are familiar or that are in well-lit locations.
  • Have your card ready before aproaching the ATM.
  • Do not use ATMs that appear to have been tampered with or otherwise altered.
  • Memorize ATM PIN and never disclose it with anyone.
  • Stand close to the ATM and shield the keypad when keying in the PIN.
Protecting Your Credit Card
  • Never disclose credit card information to anyone.
  • Sign all credit cards as soon as you receive it from the Bank.
  • Never allow credit card to be used as a reference or as an identification card.
  • Beware of the "swipe and theft" scam using card skimmers. Keep a constant eye on the card and the one handling it.
STRENGTHEN YOUR MOBILE BANKING SECURITY


Keeping Mobile Banking Info Secured
  • Do not disclose your Mobile Banking Pin (MPIN) to anyone.
  • Regularly change the MPIN.
  • The transaction reference number should be kept for it assures the execution of a transaction
  • Always remember to delete confidential information especially in sms or any transactional data
  • Never divulge personal or any relevant information through email.
Securing Mobile Banking Transactions
  • Never do mobile banking in a public place
  • Be wary of your surrounding when transacting in mobile banking
  • Always make sure to log off properly whenever using mobile banking
Protecting your Account
  • If the phone is lost or stolen, report the incident immediately to the Bank.
